Overwhelmed by the response last year, NEPHKIDS 2017 targeted even more larger crowd. In line with the world kidney day 2017 theme “ kidney disease and obesity”, we had topic discussing does obesity cause kidney disease? We had put in our efforts to educate the community Pediatricians and budding Pediatric postgraduates to identify and prevent common kidney issues in children.
DAY 1
MEDAL EXAM (9.00-11.00): To commemorate Dr. M Vijayakumar and his contribution to the Pediatric Nephrology fraternity in this part of the country, we introduced medal exam for Pediatric postgraduates. Total 77 pediatric postgraduates participated in this medal exam.
WORKSHOP:
As per the last year feedback the Electrolyte workshop was extended for the whole day. Around 116 pediatric postgraduate and practitioner participated in this interactive case based electrolyte session.
DAY 2
CME: Total 13 national and international faculties along with 170 delegates participated. We could see more enthusiasm and participation from the delegates than last year.
Key pad session made the topics interactive and created a mood of gaming and created a platform for fun filled learning.
